GENERAL AUCTION RULES
1. All bidding requires a bid number that you will receive upon registration. Your entry on a bid sheet constitutes a legally binding contract to purchase the auction item. No exceptions!
2. All auction items must be used within one year of the Golf Fore Arthritis auction date, unless specifically authorized for a different time period. Please read the auction item details to be certain you understand expiration dates and specific limitations on vacation packages. Refunds for misunderstandings will not be permitted.
3. Items purchased at the event must be paid for before you leave the event, and of course, items are nonrefundable.
4. Payment may be made by cash, check or credit card.
5. The auction committee has attempted to correctly describe and catalog all items. All items are sold “as is”, including wine. The UCSD Foundation and GFA Auction Committee are not responsible for, and do not guarantee, warrant or represent the correctness or genuineness of any auction item. Any corrections,additions or deletions to the program will be available at the auction.
6. Friends have been most generous in donating their condos and vacation homes. It is the responsibility of those successful bidders to respect these properties and leave them in the same condition as when they arrived for their stay. Dates must be agreeable to both donor and buyer.
7. The IRS regulations permit a tax deduction for the auction items purchased if the purchase price exceeds the actual cash value of the item. Please ask for a tax receipt if this applies to your purchase.

SILENT AUCTION RULES
The Silent Auction will consist of written bid sheets located on tables. Persons wishing to bid on an item shall place their full name, bid number and dollar amount of the bid on the bid sheet. Some of the auction items will have a minimum starting bid and some items may designate a minimum amount necessary to increase the prior bid for the new bid to be considered valid. Please read each bid sheet carefully so you can follow the minimum bid and incremental bid rules. The person with the highest valid bid when the silent auction tables close will be the purchaser of the item.
Bids offered after the bid sheets are collected cannot be accepted. All items purchased must be paid for before leaving the event.
